Every company, organization, group or individual needs a set of values and principles that determine for them what is primary and what is secondary in their operation. This can be explained using an analogy from the field of computers: the values are a kind of parameters in the software that defines the operation of the computer. In order for a person to be able to make decisions effectively, he must first feed the brain - the most sophisticated computer in the world - with a system of values and principles that will define the priorities and facilitate decision making

A businessman who manages his business without a set of clear and predefined values, is forced to adopt different and changing values for himself in the course of his operation, according to the order of the hour. In such a situation there is no uniformity in decision-making, the employees always have to guess according to which principle they should function now. They need the manager's approval for any small controversial action. This situation causes stress and burnout at work, and it is difficult for the organization to function in an atmosphere of inconsistent policies

Companies that managed to deal with the vicissitudes of time are the companies that made sure to live according to a set of defined principles
